Just last October, Tam and I landed a weekday morning show on Kiss 96.9 FM every Monday through Friday from 6 to 10 am and again on Saturday mornings from 7 to 10 am. Now we are happy to say that our show has expanded to Saturday afternoon's from 9 am to 3 pm. That means more Buds and more fun! Woo hoo!
For those of you that have not heard of the KyTasteBuds or listened to our show, we are two best friends born and raised in Lexington, Kentucky who found ourselves in mid-life ruts and broke out of our mundane routine by making a decision to explore Kentucky and share our experiences with others. We talk about everything good in Kentucky from food, fashion, events, bourbon and people. But we also gab about family, motherhood, sports, the entertainment world... anything and everything besties talk about. Our show is clean, positive, uplifting and good for both women and men of all ages!
We also play the greatest hits from the late 60's, 70's, 80's (our fav) and 90's. MUSIC IS THERAPY! Every Saturday, we feature a non-for-profit charity on our Kiss Kares segment where we showcase the good happening in our community. On every show, we share our Buds Buzz, highlighting what is going on in and around the Bluegrass as well the top entertainment news. We have been fortunate to meet so many great listeners (Hot Buds) and visit amazing places (Hot Picks) and we will bring those experiences to you on Friday's. And don't forget our Hot Ta-Ma-Leigh of the week (get it, Tam and Leigh make Ta-Ma-Leigh). It's where we put the spotlight on a great individual who you will be intrigued to learn about.
Every day is an adventure with the Buds whether we encourage you to challenge your endeavors on Motivational Monday or reveal the latest restaurant openings on Tasty Tuesday. Wacky Wednesdays may be our favorite day of the week as we find humor in wacky stories, provide a little Wednesday Wisdom and give tips to a dumb criminal on our "Don't Be a Dud, Be a Bud segment"! Throwback Thursday is a time of reminiscing about the glory days and taking a stroll down memory lane. Fridays are also a blast as it's all about Fun Friday, complete with our Friday Dance Mix!
