Bourbon & BBQ - What Could Be Better?

From seminars on topics such as pairing Bourbon with BBQ to Master Distiller tours, this year’s Kentucky State BBQ Festival lets the state’s Native Spirit share the stage with the star of the festival. All of the fun of the ninth annual festival happens Sept. 6-8 on the grounds of presenting sponsor Wilderness Trail Distillery at 4095 Lebanon Road, Danville, KY. The festival that features BBQ created by seven celebrity pitmasters is a fundraiser for Heart of Kentucky United W

    I Feel Pretty

Nothing can make my heart happier than a new dress. I absolutely love dresses! Knowing I had an invite to a wedding at The Kentucky Castle, a shopping sesh seemed in order, and since I was in Danville last week for my day job, it was recommended that I pay the ladies a visit at The Derby Shoppe and Raggs on North Third Street. These shops (they are side by side) are owned by John and Martha Caywood and I knew I was in the right place simply by looking at their colorful wind

Wilderness Trail Distillery Plans 2nd Bourbon Release

We like our Bourbon aged and smooth and our BBQ slow-cooked and savory. Which is exactly why we are thrilled that Wilderness Trail Distillery can fill the bill for both when they have their second Bourbon release while hosting the KY State BBQ Festival September 7-9. The Danville distillery’s first Bottled in Bond Bourbon release was a huge success and it is time for the second of the three releases this year. This release will be a wheated, Single Barrel, Bottled in Bond, K

One such destination is the birthplace of Kentucky's statehood, Danville, Kentucky. Danville, Kentucky is l
