Fall Festival Fun in the Bluegrass!

Fall time is always a great time in Kentucky. You begin to see change in the trees and in the weather. It is a perfect time to go on a walk in the park or around the city. Fall is also a time for festivals as well and Kentucky has plenty of them, especially in and around Lexington. The following list is of the upcoming festivals and when and where they are happening:



LexArts HOP:

Where: Throughout Downtown Lexington

Date: September 16 and November 18

Time: Evenings on the dates above

This event has been happening throughout the year and if you are a fan of art or just starting out in the art world, you still have two chances to attend LexArts HOP. Bluegrass Craft Beer and Bourbon Festival:

Where: Moondance Amphitheater, 1152 Monarch Street, Lexington, KY 40513

Date: September 17

Time: 12 P.M. to 6 P.M.

Come to the second ever Bluegrass Craft Beer and Bourbon Festival. Hosting 20+ local and regional breweries and distilleries as well as Contest, food trucks, live music and more. The link above has more information, as well as the link here.

Midway Fall Festival:

Where: Downtown Midway, Midway Kentucky 40347

Date: September 17 and 18

Time: Saturday- 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. | Sunday- 10 A.M. to 5 P.M.

The Midway Fall Festival was voted one of the best festivals in Central Kentucky. There will be many different food, arts and crafts vendors, sorghum and pottery demonstrations, live music, and kids activities. For more information, go to the link above or link here.

Harvest Fest:

Where: Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill, 3501 Lexington Rd, Harrodsburg, KY 40330

Date: September 24 and 25

Time: 10 A.M. to 4 P.M.

“Celebrate all things fall and kick off the harvest season with a down-home celebration for the entire family!” Bring your family to Harvest Fest this fall. Learn about the crops of Pleasant Hill, take a hayride, shop for honey and jams at the Harvest Market, play festival games and much more. Advance Auto Fall Fest Car Show:

Where: Advance Auto Mt., Sterling 696 Maysville Rd, Mt Sterling, KY 40353 United States

Date: September 25

Time: 1 P.M. to 5 P.M.

For the car lovers out there, we have a great festival for you, join Advance Auto and Cruizin for a Cause for their Fall Fest Car Show. They will be raising money for Toys for Tots through this event. There will be food trucks, music, door prizes, Hot Wheels races for kids, different vendors, and of course the car show. Festival Latino de Lexington:

Where: Downtown Lexington

Date: September 30 and October 1

Time: Friday- 5 P.M. to 11 P.M. | Saturday- 4 P.M. to 11 P.M.

Come to downtown Lexington to celebrate Latin American culture and art at the Festival Latino De Lexington. There will be visual arts, authentic food, live music and dance. For more information, go to the link above or click here.


South Elkhorn Christian Church Fall Festival:

Where: South Elkhorn Christian Church, 4343 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513

Date: October 8

Time: 9 A.M. to 4 P.M.

Come to “one of the largest outdoor free craft shows with over 150 booths.” They will have all kinds of different crafts, foods, and décor throughout the fair. There will be food and live music as well. The festival admission and parking are all free. For more info, click here.

Mary Queen Fall Festival:

Where: Mary Queen of The Holy Rosary School, 605 Hill N Dale Rd, Lexington, KY 40503

Date: October 14 and 15

Time: 4 P.M. to 11 P.M.

Join the Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary School for their annual Fall Festival. You can enjoy delicious food, raffles, kids games, inflatables, BINGO and more. All of the proceeds go towards the schools fundraising efforts. Click here for details.


ScareFest:

Where: Central Bank Center, Lexington Kentucky

Date: October 21-23

Time: Friday- 4 P.M. to 9 P.M. | Saturday- 11 A.M. to 8 P.M. | Sunday- 11 A.M. to 5 P.M.

Kentucky Book Festival:

As part of Kentucky Humanities, come to the 41st Kentucky Book Festival. Learn about writing and publishing, discover new books and celebrate reading. There will be more that 150 authors participating in the festival with meet and greets and signings.
