4th of July Festivities in Central KY

4th of July weekend is here, and we’ve got some things for you to add to your “to-do” list with family and friends! One thing about Central Kentucky is that we sure know how to celebrate our Independence. From food to fireworks, alcoholic beverages and more, you’re sure to spend this 4th of July the right way! Checkout the list below:


Family & Friends Festivities:

  1. Bluegrass 10,000 and Fun Run: Race to the finish this 4th of July! Show up early on July 3rd at 7:55am at the intersection of North Limestone and Main Street to take your places.

  2. Richmond 4th of July Celebration: Show up to Lake Reba at 4pm to celebrate the 4th of July in Richmond, KY! Enjoy food, free mini golf, fireworks, and live music by Nightshade & Co., Vintage Voodoo, and Powell Brothers (headliners).

  3. Georgetown 4th of July Parade: Georgetown, KY is kicking off 4th of July with their annual parade downtown! Free hot dogs and ice cream will be handed out at Royal Springs Park after the parade at noon, as well as additional fun activities. Don’t miss it!

  4. Jessamine County Fair: Top off your 4th of July weekend at the Jessamine County Fair. The fair will be held July 5th-10th. Enjoy music, games, food, motorsports, and more! Click here for the fair timeline and events!


Out to Eat:

  1. Proud Mary Rock Between the Bridges: Head over to Proud Mary BBQ for tasty food and live music for the holiday on July 4th @2pm! Performers are Vanguard, Right About Sound, The Distraxion, Nineteen85, and Five Below Band.

  2. Drake’s: Visit one of Lexington’s favorite restaurants July 2nd-4th for $3 hotdogs, $4 Bud Light in light-up cups, and $6 Star Spangled Spritzers!

  3. J. Renders Southern Table & Bar: J. Renders will be open July 5th @6pm with music, food (all you can eat), and festive sparklers! Reservations are required.

  4. Ranada’s Kitchen: Start off the weekend at Ranada’s Kitchen on July 3rd @6pm for delicious food, music, and patio seating to suit the warm weather!


21 and Over:

  1. July 4th Karaoke on Short at Creaux: Sing your heart out this 4th of July weekend at Creaux. Be there July 4th @7pm to take the stage!

  2. 4th of Ju-luau at Ethereal Brewing: Ethereal Brewing is hosting their 2nd annual 4th of Ju-luau celebration on July 4th @2pm! Enjoy food from the new Big Kahuna BBQ, festive cocktails, and red, white, and blue slushies. To raise money for the Lex Craft Cares relief fund (to help employees in the craft alcohol industry) you can dunk a bartender in the provided dunk tank!

  3. Red, White & Brew at Good Wood: On your way to see the fireworks, run by Good Wood in Frankfort for live music, food specials, and to-go beers. They will be open all day on July 4th from 11am to 9pm.

  4. 4th of July Bash at Tin Roof: Make your way over to Tin Roof on July 4th @11am for live music, food, and drinks all night to celebrate our Independence!

  5. IndepenDANCE at Soundbar: Bring in the 4th with your favorite dance moves at Soundbar on July 3rd @8pm!
